- I researched and produced LIFE - a mini documentary series. Episode 1 focuses on "Artificial Life" (ALife) and episode 2 focuses on "Neurorobotics". It features interviews with pioneering researchers in the field and explores their works. The documentary received praise from ML and Robotics Industry leaders.
- Creative Direction and Development
- I was co-founder of ecospace, an open praxis for ecological research & cultivation.
- I co-founded Ogbo and currently serve as its steward and product manager. I oversaw both product development and market strategies.
- I helped bootstrap and run a company with 8 employees at its peak, that developed video games and game creation technologies (procedural asset generators). Clients included Volkswagen and ARTE.
- I supported engineering efforts on a project that explored using ML pose detection for interactive dance visualization and support. I collaborated with renowned choreographer Wayne Mcgregor and a mixed ML engineering and creative design team of ML at Google in Paris.
- I was technical product design, prototyping, software development and ML engineering lead on a project for Coca Cola that explored using machine learning language models and other techniques to generate story and songs based on images - and incorporate them into a product experience.
- I co-founded Okio and served as its CEO. During my tenure, I successfully led efforts to raise venture capital, assembled a talented team of eight, and oversaw both product development and market penetration strategies. Okio's mission was to amplify the experience of sound with generative AI. To achieve this, we built on the latest AI breakthroughs to offer production-ready audio solutions that expand efficiency and creativity.
- Flow is a lightweight static site generator with built-in UI editor that creates microblog-style content feeds. Ideal for personal blogs
- I started, designed, developed and maintained the open source project and web service GitXiv.com and grew it to 100k/monthly unique visitors. It was the first of its kind “Collaborative Open Computer Science” community, linking arxiv papers and github repos. GitXiv got widely praised, including from the Arxiv team and technology industry leaders.
- I worked on product design & prototyping for a set of project proposals for Adidas retail innovation. I helped conducted a technology analysis and prototyped in-store experiences, using a range of different technology platforms (Web, Mobile, Kiosk, AR, Robotics)
- I co-founded Hyperboring and led the product design, launch and operations. Hyperboring was a pioneering online service for multi-user real-time sharing in the browsers - A product category that 7 years later became mainstream (real-time whiteboards, etc.). "Multi-user photoshop on acid, addictive!"
- I built and managed a multidisciplinary design company that focused on exploring and developing product experiences using computational technologies and novel HCI approaches. Clients included global brands and the audience of AE’s public experiments was in the millions.
- I was a UX Designer and ML Prototype Developer in a team at Google Brain, helping Google Maps & Waymo to generate photoreal cities using ML methods and make them useful for users in mobile app experiences. I led UX research & product prototyping efforts focusing on next generation HCI product experiences and developer tools.
- I led the development of the design for a hardware/software product experience for the startup Unplug: a privacy appliance that detects and optionally disconnects selected devices known to pose a risk to personal privacy using a Virtual Private Network
- I was a Product design lead, UX researcher, UX Engineer and ML developer on a team helping the Google Podcast app explore new ML driven interactive audio experiences (mobile). I prototyped experiences that got attention from leaders of Google News & Podcasts & led to new KPIs.
- I supported the startup Glif as Product designer, UX researcher, UX Engineer and software developer in their effort to build a no-code generative AI platform. I prototyped and developed experiences that informed the leaders of Glif and accelerated their journey to product launch.
- I led product design at a startup founded out of the “Center for Psychedelic Research” at Imperial College in London. I helped design and develop interactive systems that use generated adaptive music based on user feedback and bio-signals, for therapeutic applications.
- I was the UX lead on a project that explored using large scale language models for interactive mental health assistance. I led UX research & prototyping of experiences (desktop & mobile) that influenced the agendas of PM’s at Google & Fitbit. Directly reported to & collaborated with a senior Google Group leader.
- I was a Product designer, UX researcher, UX Engineer and ML protoyper on a team helping Huggingface explore new ways to improve the hub. I prototyped experiences that got attention from leadership.
- I was a UX Researcher, Product Designer & Prototyping Engineer on a team assisting Google Stadia explore new entertainment experiences driven by ML (RL, Generative Models, etc.). I prototyped experiences (web, mobile, console), receiving praise from “the Sims” original devs & Stadia leadership.
- I was co-founder and head of design of one of the earliest startups using generative machine learning models to augment human creativity. I drove research, design & development of products that made ML augmentation accessible & relevant for employees of leading companies in creative industries (incl. WPP)
